Freetown is the capital city of Sierra Leone. It wasn't much of a tourist destination when things were relatively quiet in the country, and has developed to a tourist free zone.
Compared with the rest of the country Freetown is a fairly good place to come as a traveler. There are a few restaurants here that mainly cater for the few foreigners that are still there and are run by Lebanese. The beaches close to town are actually pretty OK, so you can relax as well.
